Water lapped against the banks of rivers,
Flowing nether fickle skies;
Whilst the moon aglows and stars a-flicker,
Where dost goes their shadows, trickle?
For the grasped moon can ne'er be held,
Nor the stars that shine so bright;
Even so, why do monkeys come,
Trying to catch the light?
Drown, drown drown;
One by one by another.
Fleeting, chaotic, serene and silence;
Between realms of dreams torn asunder.
For they forget, hast the water depth;
For they forget, hast the water strife.
Lest they forget, the essentials of nature;
Hence they pay with life.
